This lesson was created by Code.org, and modified slightly by myself. Code.org is a nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to computer science in schools and increasing participation by young women and students from other underrepresented groups. They provide free K-12 computer science curriculum online. I have been using Code.org for about 3 years now. Their fun and engaging lessons help bring a spark of excitement to computer science that my students enjoy. Code.org does a great job setting the tone with their first unit dedicated to establishing the Problem Solving Process. Teaching how Intellectual Proptery works is especially important now because many students dream of being content creators. And this could directly impact them.
